IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO ATTEND!!

To all of you that will be attending the Reunion, "Welcome back to the Benning School For Boys!"  To those of you that will not be able to attend, every attempt will be made to collect as many photographs and movies as possible to share with everyone afterwards.  Please have a safe trip to Georgia and enjoy your Reunion!

I hope you find this website helpful and I welcome your comments, suggestions, and ideas.

Remember that name and do not forget to say thank you to Jerry.  If it were not for Jerry, we would not be having a Reunion, honoring our dead, or even staying in contact with each other.  I received a phone call followed up by an email on June 12, 2001 from Jerry.  In his email he said:

"I'm trying to put together a list of our class...just got the urge to see who I could find."  "Let me know if you have contact info or "leads" on any of the other guys. Just curious as to what happened to the class. Hard to believe we got out of OCS over 30 years ago. Aloha, Jerry 356 Kaiola Pl. Kihei, HI 96753."

 Then I received another (of many to come) email from Jerry on June 19, 2001 where he said:

"Aloha to all of you! This is the list of the 37 guys I've found so far. I'd appreciate any orders any of you might have that lists Social Security numbers. Eventually I hope I can find a way to legally track down these guys using their SSAN - it certainly would narrow down the scope of the search. I have to dial 32 digits to make every call, and in some cases these are hundreds of people w/ the same names. So far I've had the best luck checking to see if anyone still lives at the address they gave when we left OCS in '69...actually still working on page 1 of that roster and the "Commandant's List" guys. Having a good time - each success gives added enthusiasm to keep dialing. Some are mentioning the "R" word (reunion), but it's still too early to even think of something like that. All of you take care and keep in touch.  Jerry"

From that email on June 19, 2001 was born the possibility of "The 52nd Co Trolls" getting back together!  Now, here we are three years later after Jerry started his search (35 years after we graduated from OCS), and now less than one week from the start of our Reunion.  Jerry accomplished his search and contacted or accounted for 98% of our former OCS Company.  His efforts were at a great personal financial expense and dedication of a tremendous amount of his personal time.

Jerry, I want you to know your efforts are greatly appreciated.   Bobby Goolsby
